Today I asked ChatGPT a question that stopped me:
“Future Audrey, what am I pretending not to know? Who am I pretending not to be?”
The response landed right in my heart:
“You’re pretending you don’t already know who you are.”
And then came the question I can’t shake:
“How fully can I live as the woman I already am today?”
Not who I’m becoming. Not who I hope to be someday. But the woman I’ve quietly become through years of living, loving, grieving, healing, laughing, making mistakes, and beginning again.
As I reflected on my day, I realized it wasn’t extraordinary. It was beautifully ordinary.
I worked in the garden. I shared some hard-earned mom wisdom with a friend. My partner and I slowed down and found time for closeness. I slipped into the pool after gardening, took a deep breath, and swam some laps. At one point I caught myself thinking,
“This is my life.”
And I smiled.
Lately I’ve realized that the more I stop trying to define who I’ve become, the more fully I embody her. Growth hasn’t happened because I’ve been chasing it. It’s happened because I’ve been living.

One thing ChatGPT reflected back to me that really got my attention was this: my questions have changed. They used to sound like, “What does this mean?” or “What should I do?”
Now they’re more like, “What am I noticing?”
That simple shift reminded me that I’m spending less time searching for my life and more time living it.
I deeply appreciate reflections like these. They help me stay in gratitude and curiosity about my life as it moves through me. Sometimes we all need someone—or something—to hold up a mirror so we can see how far we’ve already come.
So today, I’ll leave you with the same question I’m asking myself:
How fully can I live as the woman I already am today?
As life moves through us,
Audrey
